Highlights 1991–2000
Pia MYrvoLD
In the early 1990s, Myrvold relocated to Paris. Her first international commission came in 1992 with a site-specific installation at Parc de la Villette, designed by architect Bernard Tschumi and financed by the French Ministry of Culture.
Between 1993 and 2000, she participated in the Syndicat de Créateurs de Mode, presenting two collections per year on their official calendar. Myrvold explored fashion as a medium through an interdisciplinary and philosophical lens.
Key milestones include Clothes as Publishing, exhibited at Le Louvre des Antiquaires, and Cybercouture — the first interactive design studio on the internet, a groundbreaking hybrid cross-media innovation.
Positioned between the fashion and art worlds, Myrvold also created her first digital mapping video installation for the exhibition Post Machine, held in a basement space on Rue Martel, Paris (10th arrondissement).
