Every summer, Pia Myrvold runs a cultural community and gallery space on a remote island outside Stavanger, Norway.

The Fogn Experience is a gallery with a small café and outdoor market featuring local produce, which opened its doors in the summer of 2022. For many years, the location was a store where the island’s population would gather for supplies, collect their letters and packages, and where summer tourists would mingle over ice cream and strawberries, or swim in the little lagoon.

The gallery has hosted exhibitions by Pia Myrvold and has curated exhibitions featuring invited artists.

In Season 3, 2024, Mette Lilletvedt and Tove Sundt-Hansen will be featured, followed by Season 4, 2025, with Ingunn Birkeland and Kristin Romberg.

2026 Season 5 opens on 19 June and will be open every week during select hours until 16 August.

The Season 5 programme will be published here on 1 May 2026, with details of events, concerts, lectures, food and tasting programmes, as well as various exhibitions.
